Foster's is estimating healthy savings following the expansion of one of its breweries. The Australian drinks group said today (16 February) that the newly-expanded Yatala brewery in Queensland, Australia, should provide annual gross efficient gains of A$17m.

"The expansion of Yatala represents the largest capital investment that Foster's has made anywhere in the world," Foster's CEO Trevor O'Hoy told journalists.

The brewery has seen its production capacity double in size, from 230m litres to 540m litres, matching the capacity of the company's Abbotsford brewery in Victoria.
