The Australian brewer Foster's aims to establish its eponymous beer brand among the world's top five beers.

Reuters reported today that the company expects to sell 8m hectolitres this year up from about 5m in 1997, and wants to maintain this growth rate.

The company's plans include new packaging and advertising in the US and UK.
