Pernod Ricard has confirmed a raft of executive appointments, following changes announced last month at its China business.

The France-based wine and spirits company said today (7 April) that Philippe Dréano, the chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Asia, will move to hold the same position at Pernod Ricard Americas.

Responsible for covering the whole of the Americas region, Dréano will report to Michel Bord, Pernod's deputy managing director, distribution network, and will be based in New York.

Pierre Coppéré, the chairman and CEO of the Pernod division, will replace Dréano at Pernod Ricard Asia while, the chairman and CEO of Wyborowa, César Giron, will replace Coppéré at Pernod. Both Giron and Coppéré will report in to Bord.

Giron's replacement will be announced at a later date.

Finally, Philippe Guettat, managing director of Pernod Ricard China, will move to become chairman and CEO of The Absolut Company. Based in Stockholm, Guettat will report to Thierry Billot, Pernod's deputy managing director in charge of brands. Late last month, Pernod confirmed that Guettat will be replaced in China by Con Constandis, the chairman and CEO of Corby Distilleries in Canada.

All five new appointments will take effect from 1 July, the company said.

Last week, The Absolut Company confirmed that its current CEO, Ketil Eriksen, is leaving the company at the end of June to pursue interests outside the drinks industry.
