Former William Grant & Sons executive vice-president and national sales manager Joel Gosler has formed a new US import and marketing company.

The Miami-based firm, Kindred Spirits Inc., is a joint venture between Jerez-based sherry producer Bodegas Williams and Humbert, and creator of Martin Miller's gin, The Reformed Spirits Group. The company will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Gran Duque D'Alba brandy, Dry Sack sherry and Malt Trust single barrel malt whisky. It will also provide strategic support on Martin Miller's gin to US importer Skyy Spirits LLC.

"Kindred Spirits is a new company with a new way of thinking about unique alcoholic beverage brands," said Gosler.

Over the next year, Kindred Spirits aims to expand its line up of spirits by acting as an agent for third parties, and by adding other brands from the Williams and Humbert and Reform Spirits' portfolios.

Joel Gosler served as executive vice-president and national sales manager at William Grant's from 1963 to 2000. More recently he established a spirits division at Royal Wine Corporation.
