eSkye.com, which provides e-commerce products for the beverage industry, has announced it will change its name to eSkye Solutions and restructure its operations into two units.

The company said approximately 25 of nearly 100 employees would be made redundant, though 12 to 15 new positions will be available as a result of the restructuring.

eSkye Solutions will divide into two separate operating groups; the marketplace division and the software division, which will develop channel management products for the beverage industry.

Since 1999 eSkye.com has raised $55m from Blue Chip Capital, Draper Richard LP, Gazelle Tech Ventures, Grotech, JP Morgan Partners, and Monarch Venture Partners. The company expects the $48.5m it raised in June 2000 to last for at least two more years.
