Embotelladoras Arca has said it is targeting a healthy lift in profits for the fourth quarter of last year.

The Mexican soft drinks bottler, which bottles Coca-Cola products as well as its own and third-party brands, said yesterday (24 January) that operating profit for the last three months of 2007 is expected to come in 35% up on the same period a year earlier. EBITDA is also forecast to leap, by around 30%, on the back of a forecast rise in sales of 7.8% in value terms and 5.5% in volume.

In the final quarter of 2006, the company saw operating profit hit MXN527.1m (US$48.5m), with EBITDA totalling MXN704.3m and sales reaching MXN4.01bn.

The company said in a filing with the Mexican Stock Exchange that it will publish its results for Q4 on 20 February.
