Embotelladora Andina is to invest US$250m on expansion in Latin America, according to reports.

The Chile-based Coca-Cola bottler plans to spend $120m on the construction of a facility in Chile this year, and $90m on new lines in Brazil, El Mercurio reported yesterday (18 April). In addition, $40m will be spent on the development of a new bottled water brand in Argentina and the expansion of juice distribution in the country.

Earlier this year, Embotelladora Andina reported an increase in fourth quarter profits. For the three months to the end of December, Andina's net profits rose by 7.5% to CLP36.54bn (US$75.5m).
