E&J Gallo has added Provence rosé Fleur de Mer to its fine wine portfolio in the UK as it looks to emulate the brand's success in the US.

The company said today that Fleur de Mer rolls out in the UK this month, with the 2018 vintage. According to E&J Gallo, the wine is among the 'top ten ultra premium growth brands' in the US.

The 2018 vintage features Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan grape varieties.

"Fleur de Mer is a highly fashionable rosé brand and we are delighted to have it as part of our fine wine portfolio in the UK", says Edouard Baijot, head of fine wine for EMEA at E&J Gallo Winery. "We want to emulate our success state-side where the rosé category has grown an impressive +104% over the past 5 years. Fleur de Mer is an exciting proposition that we believe will appeal to UK consumers and contribute to the growth of the category."

The company did not disclose an RRP for the wine, although US retail sites suggest it is priced around US$15 per bottle.
