Kasper Andersen, currently Edrington's North & Central Europe director, will lead the new business from next Wenesday as commercial director, the spirits producer said today. The unit is a replacement for Edrington's Maxxium Travel Retail joint venture with Beam Suntory, which terminates on 1 April.

Andersen, who is also acting MD for Edrington Nordics and based in Sweden, will report to Tellis Baroutsis, Edrington's global head of Travel Retail. Baroutsis was appointed last year after Edrington revealed plans to create a global Travel Retail unit to up control over its spirits brands.

Other European Travel Retail appointments announced today include:

  • Garry Coull to become financial controller, reporting to Andersen.
  • Steven Sleigh to take on the marketing manager role, based in Edrington’s offices in Scotland and reporting to Andersen.
