The Edrington Group has launched an environmentally friendly, limited edition extension to its The Macallan Single Malt Scotch brand.

Estate Oak, introduced exclusively for global duty free airports, has been rolled out to support ongoing woodland regeneration in Scotland, the company said yesterday (30 July).

For each bottle sold, The Macallan will plant an oak tree on The Macallan Estate in Speyside.

"We anticipate it will be a huge success with people wanting to make a difference to the environment," said William Ovens, The Edrington Group's global travel retail area director.

The Macallan Estate Oak is available in world duty free stores and priced at GBP34.99 (US$69.35) per bottle.
