Tony Kelly will prioritise Eden Mill's e-commerce strategy in the CEO post

Kelly, who replaces fellow co-founder Paul Miller as CEO, will concentrate on the company's sales and digital marketing in the role, Eden Mill said today. Miller is moving to take charge of the construction of a carbon-neutral single malt whisky distillery, which Eden Mill is set to open near St Andrews next year.

Kelly's e-commerce focus follows the impact of the coronavirus on direct-to-consumer sales.

"While e-commerce has always been a fundamental pillar of our multi-channel distribution model, the unprecedented crisis we have found ourselves operating in has forced us to accelerate our strategic plans and adapt to the new environment," Kelly said.

In recent months, Eden Mill has expanded its RTD portfolio, launching the 5.8%-abv Maverick Martini cocktail in June. According to the distiller, sales of the Berry Bramble RTD cocktail increased by 500% in May compared to the year-prior, thanks to the coronavirus lockdown.
