Bargain Booze owner ECI Partners has put the UK discount off-licence group up for sale, according to reports.

The private-equity owner is hoping to get up to GBP100m (US$162m) for the chain, The Independent wrote yesterday (31 August). ECI Partners has appointed accountancy firm KPMG to run the sale process of the 600-store group, it said.

The first-round bids are due to take place at the end of September.
