Duvel Moortgat's New York brewery, Ommegang, has unveiled the third beer in a series inspired by television drama Game of Thrones, and created in partnership with HBO Licensing & Retail.

Mother of Dragons, brewed in homage to character Daenerys Targaryen, is a blend of smoked porter and Belgian kriek, designed to represent the "smoke and fire" unleashed by Targaryen on her opponents.

The release is the third in the Royal Reserve Collection, a series of four beers that began in April with Hand of the Queen, and continued in June with Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The final beer will be announced later this year.

Queen of the Dragons, which is said to pair well with smoked gouda and charcuterie, will be available on draft and in bottle through Ommegang's distribution network from 28 September.
