The new platform will see both ingredients and products delivered direct to the consumer. A 'buy now' function allows customers to receive goods in less than one hour.

Nick Rellas, CEO and co-founder of Drizly, said. "Partnerships like this are the natural progression of building the Drizly brand and bringing the joy of drinking to consumers across the country."

The company also highlighted the opportunity for "beer, wine and liquor partners to reach Allrecipes' 40m busy, tech-savvy shoppers at the exact moment they are making their purchase decisions and preparing beverages".

The Drizly and Allrecipes service is available now to users in the 18 cities that Drizly currently serves. Cities include Austin, New York, Chicago and Washington DC.

Last month, Drizly created the position of editor-in-chief and "chief cocktail officer" to lead the non-purchase content of its website.
