Dr Pepper Snapple Group has appointed a chief marketing officer as part of an executive shake-up.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group said goodbye to Bai Brands founder Ben Weiss last month
Andrew Springate will take on the CMO role, moving from senior VP of sales and GM of DPSG's Coca-Cola-affiliated sales organisation (CASO).
A spokesperson for DPSG said the group had no CMO previously and that marketing reported into COO Jim Trebilcock. Springate's move to marketing "consolidates overall leadership of the function", the spokesperson said.
VP of sales development Jason Butter steps into Springate's former position.
Meanwhile, Jaxie Alt replaces human resources head Lain Hancock, who recently took over as CEO of Bai. Alt previously served as senior VP of marketing, leading brand marketing and activation for Dr Pepper as well as 7UP, A&W and Sunkist.
Hancock took over as Bai Brands head last month after the departure of brand founder Ben Weiss. The exit came just nine months after DPSG agreed to buy Bai for US$1.7bn.
