The TV campaign will go live in September

Distell is launching a new UK TV ad campaign for its Nederburg wine brand, featuring TV presenter and farmer Jimmy Doherty. 

The ads will appear in September around food and lifestyle programmes on Channel 4, More4, UKTV’s Good Food Channel and on 4oD. The campaign will highlight receipes Doherty has developed to match with Nederburg, Distell said.

The iniative will also be backed by bottle neck collars and in-store activations in Tesco and Morrissons. 

“We are committed to building Nederburg in the off-trade and raising its profile among consumers,” said Rachel Hawes, Distell’s UK & Europe international marketing manager for wine. 

The campaign will be revived for a second push in "early 2015".

In first-half results earlier this year, Distell reported a healthy rise in sales and profits, helped by its international business.
