Diageo has announced the tenth and final whisky in this year's line-up of Special Releases: a blended malt called Cladach. The whisky, which takes its name from the Gaelic for coastline, combines spirit from six of the group's island and maritime distilleries, including Caol Ila, Clynelish, Inchgower, Lagavulin, Oban and Talisker, and is bottled at cask strength.

According to Diageo, Cladach "captures the character of Scotland's coastline", and has "maritime aromas of salt, warm sand and seaweed, and is salty with rich honey and citrus notes".

Cladach is described as having "limited availability" worldwide.

The other nine whiskies in this year's Special Releases were announced in April this year. Diageo began the annual series in 2001.
