The bottle will be out in time for festive shopping

Diageo is to launch a limited-edition Johnnie Walker Gold Label bottle exclusively into Travel Retail.

Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve Travellers Edition will roll out globally in time for Christmas, New Year and Chinese Spring Festival shopping, Diageo said yesterday. The bottle is gold-coloured and features an embossed image of a world map.

SRP is US$68, GBP48, EUR58 or AUD88 per one-litre bottle.

A Diageo spokesperson said the bottle “serves to highlight our commitment to provide differentiated premium products for the Travel Retail channel”.

According to IWSR figures released in August, the Johnnie Walker brand lost 900,000 litres last year in Travel Retail. However, Diageo's global Travel Retail head, Doug Bagley has rejected the figures, telling just-drinks last week that the brand remained in growth.
