Diageo is extending the availability of its Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V Edition to Australia.
The company said today (20 August) that the whisky, which will retail at A$850 (US$) per bottle, will only be available in the country on allocation to retailers from November.
The roll out of the King George V Edition to Australia follows the launch of the blend in the travel retail channel last year. The whisky was initially launched in Asia in late-2006.
"Johnnie Walker has access to an unrivalled collection of fine whiskies that date back to the early 20th Century," said Aude Parichot, Diageo's marketing manager for Johnnie Walker. "Some of the rarest whiskies have gone into the creation of this extraordinary blend of Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V Edition."
