Diageo has appointed a general manager for its key accounts and travel retail operations in South-East Asia.

From 1 December, Mathew Talbot will head up the key accounts business for Diageo in South-East Asia and the travel retail business in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan,the Philippines, and Malaysia. He will report in to the MD of Diageo's South-East Asia operations, and will be a member of Diageo's leadership team in the region.

Details of who Talbot will replace in the role were not available as just-drinks went to press.

Talbot moves across from his current role as commercial planning & operations manager and DFS global manager. Before this, he was the regional commercial manager for Diageo's GTME (Global Travel & Middle East) Asia Pacific region.
