Diageo has launched a mobile version of its website thebar.com, designed to help consumers "plan and shop on any budget".

The mobile site will offer a drink recipe database, supported by the Diageo portfolio, the company said this week.

"We are very excited about the next evolution of thebar.com which provides industry leading consumer information for every drink occasion," said Kristin Ganong, VP, digital strategy & relationship marketing, Diageo.

"More than 60m people are using the internet on their mobile devices and we want this site to be the immediate resource they go to when they are shopping for wines, spirits, beer, recipe ingredients or any responsible hosting needs."

Information offered on the site includes: drink recipe content, a "drinks solutions" tool, a store locator and seasonal offers.
