Diageo has launched an advertising campaign for Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum.
The promotional push, entitled 'Pizza', features two of Captain Morgan's crew leaving a pub and stopping to arrange home delivery of a pizza - and a designated driver for themselves.
The ad will be broadcast during night-time shows on Comedy Central, Spike, TBS, FX, Fox Regional, TNT, Discovery Channel, A&E and the USA network.
"We're very proud of the creative approach this advertising has taken to promote responsible drinking," said brand director of Captain Morgan, Brad Essig, yesterday (26 July).
Guy Smith, executive vice president at Diageo, added: "Within one 60-second spot we are communicating to millions Diageo's commitment to social responsibility, proactive use of its industry leading marketing code, very smart consumer behaviour and the bold characteristics that make Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum the leading flavoured rum in the nation."
Captain Morgan is the number three selling distilled spirit in the US.
