The distributor confirmed yesterday (20 July) that Robert Swartz will move across from Diageo to become EVP-general manager of NASW. Swartz, who has also worked for Terlato Wines International, Allied Domecq, Seagram Americas and Stirrings, will report in to Brad Vassar, Southern’s EVP-general manager.

At the same time, Southern has appointed Pete Hammer as SVP-west region for NASW. Hammer, who will report in to Swartz, leaves the dedicated Diageo and Moët Hennessy division in Ohio to assume the position.

“These talented executives will bring added strength, focus and experience to our new North American Brokerage division serving Diageo and Moët Hennessy across the 18 control markets that we … serve,” said Vassar.
