Diageo has rounded off a busy week with another share buyback transaction. The drinks company said yesterday (9 June) that it has bought a further 500,000 shares to be held as treasury shares.

The transaction, through CSFB Europe Ltd, valued the shares at 807.34 pence each.

Diageo now holds 78.665m shares. A remaining 2,971,694,375 are still in general circulation.
