It has been reported that drinks giant Diageo paid its chief executive, Paul Walsh, £2.43m last year.

The UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported that Walsh received a £1.39m bonus in addition to his £905,000 salary. The year before Walsh had received a total remuneration of £2.18m, while the transfer value of his pension rose by £1.78m to £8.3m.
