Diageo has today (20 October) reappointed Goldman Sachs International to act as joint corporate broker alongside Credit Suisse First Boston.

The company did not provide any further details.

Goldman Sachs was first appointed as Diageo's broker in February.

However, at the time, the broker was also a financial adviser to Allied Domecq which voiced its concerns that Goldman could not work so closely with both Allied and Diageo.

As a result, Goldman Sachs stood down as broker to Diageo after only eight days in the job. Diageo did not look to replace it and Allied's subsequent sale to Pernod Ricard has freed Goldman Sachs to take up the position once again.
