Deep Eddy Vodka, the Texas-based vodka producer, has lifted the curtain on a new distillery in the state as it eyes further growth.

The 30,000-square-foot “multi-purpose facility”, in Dripping Springs, includes production areas and a separate 5,000-square-foot “public” zone, featuring a tasting bar. Total spend on the facility was not disclosed.

However, a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing revealed that the company received a total of US$13m from 66 investors for the project.

In a statement, the four year-old company said the move is indicative of its “continued growth”. The new facility is a "replacement" for its original site in North Austin, a Deep Eddy spokesperson told just-drinks.

According to the group, it broke 300,000 nine-litre case sales in August for the year-to-date and is heading for sales of 400,000 nine-litre cases for 2014.

Eric Dopkins, the firm's CEO, added: “Our new distillery will support our future demand as well as our one-on-one connection with our consumer.”

In January, the company added a cranberry flavour to its portfolio
