The US unit of De Kuyper Royal Distillers will take over the US distribution of the Tromba Tequila brand.

Royal Dutch Distillers said today that the Tromba range, which was previously distributed in the country by Marie Brizard, aligns with the company's strategy to 'Own the Cocktail'. The deal, which took effect today, also gives Royal Dutch a brand in the fast-growing Tequila market.

"We are very proud that [Tromba founder & co-CEO] Eric Brass and his team confide in us to make Tromba Tequila a big success with bartenders and retailers in the US," said Mark de Witte, global CEO of De Kuyper Royal Distillers. "We want to provide our trade partners with a large variety of premium spirits and liqueurs to ensure that De Kuyper and Royal Dutch Distillers always have a part in the very best cocktails."

According to Bass, Tromba launched in the US market in 2015, where it has gained recognition among bartenders in New York, Chicago, Miami and LA.

The Tequila, which comes in Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo, ranges from RRP US$34.95 - $39.95, $49.95, and $69.95, respectively.
