An Irish distribution company DCC is the new owner of the UK-based wine distributor Bottle Green.

DCC, which already has wine operations in Ireland, will initially pay a consideration for the business, inclusive of its cash balance, of £13.1m resulting in a cost of £8.4m net of cash balances.

Further consideration up to a maximum of £11.9m may be paid based on the average results of Bottle Green for the three years to March 31, 2007, which would result in a total maximum potential consideration of £25m.
