Laurent-Perrier has confirmed a change of chairman

Laurent-Perrier has confirmed that Michel Boulaire is to step down as chairman, with Stéphane Dalyac moving in to replace him.

Boulaire initially assumed the chairmanship at the Champagne house on an interim basis in 2010. Dalyac joins Laurent-Perrier from the Yoplait Group, where he has been MD for Europe since July, 2012.

“The supervisory board expresses its warmest thanks to Michel Boulaire for his dedication to the group which, over the past four years, has accelerated its rate of international expansion and won market share in the leading export markets despite the difficult economic environment,” the company said. “During this period, the group has also significantly bolstered its financial strength, enabling it to continue investing for the future."

Dalyac will be charged with "accelerating growth at Laurent-Perrier to take the group to a new level in the value strategy it has resolutely pursued for many years".

Back in July, Laurent-Perrier reported a 9% lift in sales in the three months to the end of June.
