Brita Water Filters, UK market leaders in domestic water filters, has reappointed advertising agency Da Costa & Co.

Da Costa & Co has retained the £5m account following a pitch involving both UK and German agencies and Brita's need for greater co-operation of advertising on an international level.

Brand manager for Brita, Orla Flynn said: "We decided to take a fresh look at our advertising at a time when there is a new emphasis on working more closely with our sister companies elsewhere in Europe."

"We used this opportunity for a full creative review and have decided to reappoint Da Costa as they offer the best combination of experience, creativity and expertise."

Flynn continued: "We intend making a significant investment in our advertising in 2001, which will ensure that we both increase sales of Brita systems and also develop the water filter market further."
