US wine and spirit distributor The Charmer Sunbelt Group (CSG) has partnered with CBS Radio to launch a drink awareness media campaign in the country.
The campaign, designed to promote awareness of the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol, will be broadcast on air and online via the radio company.
As part of the promotion, CSG invited government officials, legislators, and local law enforcement to voice the message of "zero tolerance" regarding underage drinking and drunk driving in their communities, the company said on Tuesday (26 May).
"It takes a community to fight drunk driving and underage drinking. There is no one source of responsibility and no one source of solution," said Charles Merinoff, vice chairman and CEO of Charmer Sunbelt. "Together with our suppliers and customers, we are reaching the CBS Radio audience through innovative and informative messages that will make a difference and save lives."
Initially, the messages will be broadcast in ten states in which CSG and CBS Radio operate, including Arizona, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC.
The media campaign launches in June and extends through to the end of the year as part of CSG's "global social responsibility initiative".
