Coors Brewing Company is to sponsor the National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (NCAAW) Awards in the US.

The award is presented by the Inter-Association Task Force on Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse Issues (IATF) to three US colleges and universities in recognition for the development of year-round alcohol abuse prevention programs.

Coors Brewing Company has been the exclusive sponsor of the NCAAW Awards since the early 90s.

"Coors' sponsorship of the NCAAW Awards is one of the many ways in which we are committed to encouraging responsible, legal decisions about alcohol," said Bill Young, group manager, US corporate responsibility for Coors Brewing Company. "It is our continued hope, that through programs such as NCAAW and year-round alcohol awareness education, we can play a part in reducing the incidence of alcohol-related issues on college and university campuses nationwide."
