Constellation Europe has announced plans to streamline its UK on-trade sales teams.

Constellation Europe's premium wine arm Cellar Door - which includes the Barossa Valley Estates and Rex Goliath brands - will be integrated into the rest of the company's sales operations. The Cellar Door umbrella brand will remain in place, the company said today (16 January).

UK trading director Peter Spencer said: "The new structure reduces the levels of hierarchy between us and our customers and gives empowerment to make faster decisions in this dynamic sector. It will also provide a platform for us to launch our exciting new product plans within the cider portfolio this spring."

Marina Gayan MW, vice-president of sales and marketing of the Cellar Door portfolio, is to leave the company next month.

The company declined to comment on the number of jobs affected by the move.
