Constellation Brands will handle Champagne Palmer & Co's portfolio in the US from July

Constellation Brands has lined up a distribution agreement with France's Champagne Palmer & Co in the US.

The group's high-end wine division, TRU Estates and Vineyards, will handle Champagne Palmer's range in the country from July. The deal has been described by Constellation as a "strategic partnership" that will see TRU handle the Brut Reserve, Rosé Reserve, Blanc de Blancs and Vintage expressions.

The "long-term agreement" covers US market import exclusivity, with a focus on the on-premise and fine wine retailers.

Labelling Palmer "an excellent addition to our TRU Estates and Vineyards division's fine wine portfolio", Constellation's Wine & Spirits division president, Chris Stenzel, said: "We see immense opportunities for Champagne Palmer & Co in the US."

Rémi Vervier, Champagne Palmer's MD, added: "We look forward to bringing the quality and prestige of the Champagne Palmer experience to U.S. wine lovers, thanks to the passion and expertise of the TRU Estates and Vineyards team."

TRU's portfolio also includes Robert Mondavi Winery, The Prisoner Wine Co, Mount Veeder Winery, Inniskillin, Ruffino Estates and Schrader Cellars, the latter joining the stable almost a year ago.
