Coca-Cola is to launch a new flavour for its Sprite brand in the Canadian market every year, the company said, as it unveiled plans for the Sprite ReMix Berryclear launch in the country.

The decision is an effort to cater for the teen market's ever changing tastes.

This year's Sprite ReMix Berryclear is a replacement to last year's popular mint-flavoured Sprite Ice.

"We have remixed the Sprite beverage in the same way teens remix music - by taking a classic taste and adding an extra element to make it familiar yet unique," said Nicole de Larzac, brand manager, Sprite. "It's a 'remix' with a different Sprite flavour to offer a new spin on the teens' favourite lemon-lime soft drink in Canada."

Sprite ReMix Berryclear packaging will feature the new purple and silver accented treatment of the Sprite ReMix logo. It is available nationally (excluding PEI) in 591 mL bottles, 2L bottles, 12-pack cans and in the new Fridge Mate packaging.

In addition, the Sprite ReMix Berryclear launch will be supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign, including television, radio and online advertising, as well as sampling in key cities across Canada.
