The president of the European arm of the Coca-Cola Company has been appointed president of the European soft drinks trade body UNESDA-CISDA.

Dominique Reiniche has spent 13 years with Coca-Cola in France and Europe holding various marketing, sales and general management positions. She was appointed general manager France in 1998 and president of Coca-Cola Enterprises Europe in 2003.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Reiniche was director of marketing and strategy with Kraft Jacobs-Suchard France. She began her career with Procter & Gamble. Dominique is a graduate from ESSEC (MBA).

Reiniche said: "The product variety offered by our industry is enormous and is constantly growing and evolving to meet the demands of today's consumers.

"An ever-increasing range of non-alcoholic beverages is being marketed - using new packaging, flavourings and sweeteners, delivering various functional and emotional benefits to consumers and I am proud to represent such a dynamic, innovative sector".

Alain Beaumont, secretary general of UNESDA-CISDA, said: "It is crucial that business leaders, such as Dominique, take charge of industry associations and establish contacts with the many important stakeholders at European level.  I look forward to working with Dominique on this task."
