Coca Cola is planning an assault on the minds - and waistlines - of soft drink lovers with a new product that it claims will not just quench thirst, but also burn calories at the same time.

Reports in the Atlanta Journal and Beverage Digest suggest that Enviga, a green tea, developed by Coke in conjunction with its partner Nestlé, will be trialled in New York and Philadelphia later this year.

The company is tight-lipped on its new baby, but it is thought to have been in development for over a year.
