Cognac Frapin has updated the packaging for its Cuvée Pierre Frapin 1888 ultra premium offering.

The company said earlier this week that the variant, which is available globally “but in limited numbers”, has kept the same crystal decanter, but a chestnut-coloured leather travel case in and a golden interior has been introduced. The doors of the case are transparent, showing the decanter encircled by 24-carat fine gold thread, and topped with 24-carat gold stopper.

The case is protected by a suede bag, tied with a golden cord.

The new pack and the original wooden boxed version are both available from McKinley Vintners in the UK, and  have a recommended retail price of around GBP4,500 (US$7285).
