The Tiger Woods Foundation and The Coca-Cola Company have formed a partnership to help boost the Foundation's fund-raising efforts and promote its mission of encouraging the positive development of young people around the globe.

The Coca-Cola Company becomes the official beverage company of the Tiger Woods Foundation and sponsor of two annual major Foundation activities this year -- a series of Tiger Woods Junior Golf Clinics beginning in May and the "Tiger Jam" charity concert tentatively set for October 7 in Las Vegas. A number of other joint programs to help the Foundation reach young people in communities around the world will be announced at a later date.

Four Tiger Woods Junior Golf Clinics are currently scheduled: Oklahoma City (May 6-7), Denver (June 3-4), New Orleans (July 29-31) and Norfolk (September 23-25).

"One of Tiger's dreams is to help young people reach their goals by ensuring access to the developmental opportunities society has to offer, and this has become the mission of the Tiger Woods Foundation," said Earl Woods, Tiger's father and president of the Tiger Woods Foundation. "We know Coca-Cola is as deeply committed to the future of youth around the world as we are, so we are extremely delighted to have a partner that really cares."

Through its vast distribution system, Coca-Cola will launch various marketing initiatives supporting the fund-raising efforts of the Foundation, which seeks to encourage youth to dream big dreams, engage communities in helping youth pursue their goals, and ensure youth access to developmental opportunities in society.

"The Coca-Cola Company has always felt that it has a responsibility and an obligation to give back to and be an active part of life in each and every community around the world in which we do business," said Carl Ware, executive vice president, Global Public Affairs and Administration, The Coca-Cola Company. "Our new partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation provides us with yet another opportunity to make a contribution in this area."

Funds raised by the Tiger Woods Foundation, established in December 1996, assist communities and organizations supporting family values and adult involvement in children's lives.
