The soft drinks group, Coca-Cola Co., is planning to invest some $90m in Pakistan over the next five years, a Pakistani government statement has revealed.

The Pakistani government has been keen to attract inward investment and Commerce Minister, Abdul Razzak Dawood, assured Ahmet C. Bozer, president of Coca-Cola's Eurasia and Middle East Division, that there would be a "level playing field" for local and foreign investors. "In order to enable this international firm to expand its scope of investment, the government will remove all impediments," Dawood said.
