Coca-Cola Co.'s newly-formed international arm today (8 February) announced the appointment of the head of its operations in Asia-Pacific.

Glenn Jordan is to move from his role as executive vice-president and director of Coke's Latin America unit to head up the group's operations in eastern and southern Asia and the Pacific rim.

Jordan, who has spent 28 years at the company, succeeds Patrick Siewart, who will take on a senior consulting role and report to Coca-Cola International president Muhtar Kent.

"Glenn's long and successful career with the company gives him the skills, knowledge and commitment to accelerate growth for the Coca-Cola system across this important group," Kent said.

"The organisational structure for Coca-Cola International should reflect our Manifesto for Growth in action and be supportive and consistent with our highest priority - which is on-the-ground execution."
