Coca-Cola Great Britain has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with StreetGames, a charity that promotes sports for disadvantaged youngsters.

The investment from Coca-Cola will fund the development of 300 'Neighbourhood Festivals' of sport and equip around 1,000 tutors to deliver training courses to around 6,000 coaches across the UK, the firm announced today (14 October).

Jon Woods, manager for Coca-Cola GB and Ireland, said: "By drawing on the appeal of the Olympic Games and the popularity of our brands, our ambition is to encourage positive behaviour change among a traditionally hard-to-reach audience."

Coca- Cola GB recently scrapped plans for a campaign featuring footballer Wayne Rooney, following allegations that he slept with prostitutes.
