Coca-Cola Enterprises has confirmed that Damian Gammell has taken on the role of chief operating officer.

Gammell's appointment was tabled earlier this year, following the announcement of CCE's merger with The Coca-Cola Co's German unit and Coca-Cola Iberian Partners to form Coca-Cola European Partners. Gammell has been brought on board with a view to continuing in the role once the merger is complete.

Gammell will serve as a member of CCE’s executive leadership team and will report to chairman & CEO John Brock.

Gammell was previously president & CEO of Anadolu Beverage Group, which owns Coca-Cola Icecek. He has also worked for Coca-Cola Co, where he served as head of operations in Germany since 2005 and in Russia from 2001 to 2004.

Brock said: “We are pleased to officially welcome Damian to Coca-Cola Enterprises, where his experience leading global beverage bottling organisations and his knowledge of both the Coca-Cola system and the European marketplace will benefit us immensely."
