Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) has unveiled a new pack design for its UK energy drinks brand Relentless, alongside a flavour extension.

CCE is adding Passion Punch to the Relentless range

The company said the changes are to "further differentiate the brand in the growing energy drinks sector" and will roll out from this month. New flavour Passion Punch targets the growing popularity of punch flavours in the UK, CCE said.

"This new look and supporting marketing campaigns will help our customers promote the Relentless brand, with eye-catching displays and promotions that will continue to tap into the rising popularity of energy drinks," said Caroline Cater, operational marketing director at CCE.

There will also be a new 4x500ml multi-pack in the brand's best-selling Origin flavour, which will launch this month.

CCE is a Coca-Cola bottler that operates mainly in Europe and is likely to be one of the companies affected by a recently-announced tax on sugary soft drinks in the UK. However, last month the company's head, John Brock, said the levy is unlikely to proceed in its current form.
