Coca-Cola Embonor has recorded a drop in full-year profits.

For the period to the end of December, the Chile-based Coca-Cola bottler saw profits slide by 15.9% to US$36.5m. Operating profits in the period also dropped, by 9% to $43.3m, the firm said today (26 January).

Despite this, the company said: "The year's results improved significantly during the last quarter of 2011 and managed to partially reverse the trend of the first nine months."

Sales volumes during the 12-month period, however, grew by 8.2% to 213.2m unit cases. The company's Chile operations recorded volume growth of 4.8% to 112.9m unit cases, while volumes in the company's Bolivia division increased by 12.2% to 100.4m unit cases.
