The European marketing director of adult beverages at Coca-Cola GB is set to move to the Far East.

Marketing Week has claimed this week that Julia Goldin will take a marketing role at Coca-Cola's operations in Japan and China. Goldin will assume the position early next year, the trade magazine claimed.

When contacted by just-drinks today (30 November), a spokesperson for Coca-Cola GB confirmed that Goldin was heading east, to join Coca-Cola Japan in "a senior marketing role". The spokesperson could not confirm if Goldin would also oversee marketing for the drinks giant in China.

Goldin joined Coca-Cola as global brand manager for Diet Coke and Coca-Cola in 1997, Marketing Week said. As marketing director for adult beverages, which she assumed in 2003, Goldin oversaw the launch of Coke Zero in the UK in 2006.
