The Charmer Sunbelt Group has promoted its chief operating officer to the newly-created role of president.
Greg Baird stepped up to the role yesterday, the New York City-headquartered fine wines and spirits distributor said. His new duties will include overseeing legal, government and regulatory affairs and “corporate development”.
Baird, who has been with Charmer Sunbelt since 1990, will report to Charles Merinoff, the group's chairman & CEO.
Merinoff said: "Given the rapidly evolving wine and spirits landscape, it's critical to have relentless focus on future growth opportunities.”
He added that he will focus on the company's “longer term strategic vision” in light of Baird taking on his new duties.
