The company said today that the new bottle features a blue and silver "cosmic design" to recognise Russia's achievements in space. The design includes a World Cup trophy image on the neck label.

The new bottles roll out to the UK on- and off-premise in Spring 2018. The bottles carry an RRP of GBP42.85 (US$57.60).

"We are very thankful for FIFA's confidence in our House and products," said Clovis Taittinger, GM of Champagne Taittinger. "We look forward to a long connection between our two institutions."

Last year, Taittinger extended its partnership with FIFA for an additional four years. 2018's FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia from 14 June - 15 July.
