The Champagne, hotels and luxury goods group, Taittinger SA, recorded turnover of €373.2m ($361.6m) for the first six months of 2002, down 0.8% from the first half of 2001. However, the company reported that Champagne sales had risen by 6.4% in the first half to €37.9m ($36.7m). Luxury goods sales were down by 5.4% at €60.6m ($58.7m).
